Our home is saturated in kids games. We'll cleanup the house, finding toys spread to the farthest corner far from the children's rooms, where in fact the toys are said to be kept. To get fresh information, you can check-out: patent pending.
It requires hours to gather together every Tonka trucks, missing puzzle pieces, forlorn teddy bears and stray toy and put them back in their respective areas. And yet, somehow our youngsters still insist they need more toys.
That they have nothing to amuse them and the absolute most interesting thing they will find to do is complain to us.
On the rare occasion when our youngsters' bedrooms are in reality housing the majority of their games I've taken an opportunity to read their racks, open their closets and look under their beds. You can find virtually toys every-where!
Nevertheless, I should say one word inside their defense: a large number of these toys aren't fully functional due to long-dead batteries that are rarely replaced following the second round. Having such a expansion of battery operated toys is a phenomenon familiar to most families.
A lot more familiar is the incidence of these games being inoperable due to their need of fresh batteries.
I am brought by that to the question, why do parents continue to purchase such battery operated toys. Should not be have begun to idea in somewhere as you go along? Why do we remain such suckers? Somehow we think on a certain gift we're finding a good deal. Do we ever figure in the years of commitment and expense we are getting ourselves into?
Or do we know all along that we have no intention of replacing the batteries and yet continue on buying these battery operated toys, as some kind of sick joke on our youngsters?
Whatever, the case, I understand inside our family we've therefore many games that involve new batteries that should we elect to replace them all in one single shot, it would probably cost us a few hundreds of dollars.
We have tried the Dollar store course. We've obtained substantial deals of dud batteries, thinking we obtaining a real thing for a dollar. So many times, these batteries will provide a surge of energy for a of minutes and then resort to small little bursts of energy, finding yourself totally useless to the battery operated toys.
Ultimately we have simply decided to weed out the absolute most favourite of these games, leaving the others in a huge field destined for a future garage sale.
These toys will be handed down to another unsuspecting parent who thinks they also are becoming such a great deal.
