Google Talk?

Google Talk allows people to IM or make calls over the Internet using a microphone, speakers and PC, again; totally free. The new Google application may be downloaded by anyone with Windows 2000 system or later.

Of-course you can only call or IM other people who've downloaded the Google Talk software. Both parties need to have a Gmail account to log onto the Google Talk messenger.

Google has managed to get pretty convenient to add people to the contacts list of the messenger. Invitations are sent straight from the messenger or from the user's Gmail account. There is no limit for the variety of customers it's possible to have on the contact list.

With however, I made a decision to give Google Talk a spin myself. The UI is easy to understand and use, with Internet contacting, instant messaging, e-mail, and of-course, Google search. There are no ad's to litter the Interface, which is refreshing.

The consumer control's again are fairly cut and dry, it's a bit plain looking, however; this I think add's to it is functionality. Besides a lack of ad's, the thing new about that may be the fact it's from Google.
